DEVICE FOR CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY
BIOMECHANICAL ROTARY-CORRECTING APPARATUS
"Biomechanical rotationally correcting apparatus for the lower extremities and trunk" (hereinafter referred to as the Apparatus) is designed for orthosis of users of all age and gender groups with impaired functions of the musculoskeletal system of varying severity, suffering from sluggish and spastic paralysis of various levels of lesion, as well as paresis of the muscles of the lower extremity in order to fill in the missing limb functions.
The device provides supportability of the lower extremities with the maximum possible partial normalization of biomechanical (kinematic) parameters of walking as the main locomotion of a person due to a directional change in the position of the hip, lower leg and foot of the lower limb (limbs) in the sagittal and frontal planes in static and walking.
In addition, the device provides internal or external rotation of the corresponding segments of the lower extremities in the horizontal plane, correcting the trajectory of movement when walking and pathological installation in static.
Indications for use
Correction of pathological settings: recurvation or torsion settings of the lower leg, valgus/varus and /or equinus of the foot, adduction / withdrawal of the foot.
The inclusion of a thoracolumbar corset in the design of the apparatus allows partially correcting kyphotic, scoliotic or lordotic deformities of the spinal column.
Variants of execution:
on the lower limbs and trunk |
